Lake Minnetonka welcomes its first-ever wakesurfing championship, in conjunction with the Spirit of the Lakes Festival. Amateur and professional wakesurfers will compete at Cook’s Beach, and spectators can watch from Surfside Beach. There will also be music, food, entertainment and more. The Tour de Tonka is back for its ninth year, celebrating cycling and community with more than 2,500 participants. No one is too young or too old to join in the ride. Riders can choose from a 16-, 26-, 44-, 52- or 100-mile ride around the lake and surrounding areas. Ride begins and ends at Minnetonka High School.
